Greyhound Sanctuary
Our greyhounds enjoy a piece of native Florida in Bonita Springs, only 116 miles from our Hollywood Adoption Center.
It is a 5 acre fenced Greyhound Paradise, where several critters also call it home, such as small rabbits, gopher tortoise, otters and many types of birds. We are always discovering a new inhabitant.
In 2000, dedication, hard work and the philanthropy of two animals lovers made it all possible.
Then in 2008, the Frankie DeBartolo Greyhound Home and Adoption Center was born. Thanks to the generosity of a true animal lover and friend, the greyhounds, can now truly enjoy the Sanctuary. After last years renovation, the crates were replaced by state of the art stainless steel runs; 4x8ft. and 4x6ft. Equipped with kuranda beds, toys and lots of love.
.
Large exercise runs allow them to play and run and the deep sandy surface is a diggers paradise. Greyhounds can also contemplate wildlife and explore the variety of scents that impregnate the air.
We have several open houses throughout the year allowing the public to experience and explore the Sanctuary.
